WASHINGTON (AA) – Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and his U.S. counterpart Mike Pompeo met Tuesday in the U.S. to discuss several issues including the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The meeting lasted about 45 minutes.

The pair talked about bilateral and regional issues and Khashoggi’s killing.

Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and columnist for The Washington Post, went missing after entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2.

After initially saying he left the consulate alive, the Saudi Arabia admitted weeks later he was killed there.
