Syrian regime airstrikes kill 15 in Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (AA) – Fifteen people lost their lives and another 28 were injured Friday by two separate regime airstrikes in Syria’s Idlib province, according to a Syrian civil defense official.

Defense official Abdulkerim Adhar told Anadolu Agency that a regime warplane targeted a residential area in Idlib and left 14 people dead and 20 others injured.

Meanwhile, one civilian was killed and eight injured when another airstrike targeted a hospital in the town of Ariha, south of Idlib.

Both attacks caused serious damage to the targeted areas.

Syria has been locked in a vicious civil war since 2011, when the regime cracked down on pro-democracy protests.
