Magnitude-5.8 quake strikes Indonesia

ANKARA (AA) – A magnitude-5.8 earthquake hit Indonesia's Sulawesi island Saturday, according to a seismological center.

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said the quake struck 105 kilometer (54 miles) from the south of Palu in Sulawesi at a depth of 40 kilometers (25) miles.

There are no reports of casualties or property damage, according to media reports.

A magnitude-5.9 earthquake rattled Indonesia's Papua province Friday, according to the country’s Meteorology, Climatology, and the Geophysical Agency.
