ANKARA (AA) – A two-day official visit by the Pakistani prime minister to Qatar came to an end on Tuesday, according to a statement by the Pakistani government.

Arriving in Doha on Monday with a delegation including various minsters and other officials, Imran Khan met with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received Khan and his delegation on the second day of the visit, followed by a one-on-one meeting between the two leaders.

Bilateral relations and international developments were discussed in the meetings, the statement said, as well as possible steps to “strengthen partnerships in all areas of mutual interest”.

The statement noted that Khan also attended meetings with Qatari businessmen and investors.
