UPDATES WITH MEDIPOL BASAKSEHIR-BURNLEY RESULT

ANKARA (AA) – Besiktas advanced to the Europa League group stage playoffs after eliminating LASK Linz of Austria on away goals.
LASK Linz defeated Besiktas 2-1 in the UEFA Europa League 3rd Qualifying Round second leg match in Linz late Thursday but the Austrian side failed to sideline Besiktas as the Istanbul powerhouse managed a 1-0 shutout in first leg match.
Meanwhile, the other Turkish team, Medipol Basaksehir, was eliminated after suffering a defeat to English side Burnley 1-0 in extra time.
In the first leg last week, Medipol Basaksehir drew against Burnley 0-0 in Istanbul.
