UK: Johnson urges opposition to go for 'no confidence'

LONDON (AA) – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has challenged the opposition parties to initiate a “no confidence motion” against him Wednesday.

Johnson’s statement came during the first sitting of the House of Commons, which convened a day after the Supreme Court annulled a five-week long prorogation by the government.

Johnson said the public do not want a second referendum but the first one was honored.

Calling the idea that there could be a second referendum “a fantasy”, Johnson said he wanted to show the public there is “life after Brexit”.
