Turkey's largest tech fest to be held in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey’s first aerospace and technology festival will be held on Sept. 20-23 at the new airport in Istanbul.

Teknofest Istanbul is being organized by the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to promote and to showcase Turkey's rapid advance in technology.

The fair will include air shows, aviation demonstrations, technology competitions, seminars on cutting-edge technology, and an international entrepreneurship summit among other activities.

Competitions will be held in 12 different categories by some of Turkey’s leading defense and technology institutions and corporations such as Aselsan, Baykar, IGA, Isbak, Roketsan, TAI, Turkish Airlines, TUBITAK and TURKSAT.

Moreover, an International start-up summit, the HackIstanbul 2018 CTF (Capture the Flag) contest and World Drone Cup tournament will be held as side events of the festival.

More than 20 partners including government bodies, private companies, academic institutes as well as the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and Anadolu Agency will support the event.
