Turkey arrests over 1,300 terror suspects in one week

ANKARA (AA) – More than 1,300 terror suspects were arrested in Turkey over the past seven days, an Interior Ministry statement said Monday.

Among them are 792 suspected members of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group Turkish government holds responsible for the attempted coup in July 2016.

The statement said others included 520 PKK suspects and 45 Daesh suspects. 26 PKK suspects were remanded.

Police also detained six other suspects over alleged links to a leftist terrorist group.

During the operations, nine terrorists were neutralized including seven captured, one killed and another who surrendered to security forces.
