By Husameldin Badawi Ahmed Almayl and Said Ibicioglu</p> <p>KHARTOUM (AA) – A state of emergency has been declared in Sudan’s northern White Nile State on Friday, following protest demonstrations in parts of country including the capital Khartoum.</p> <p>In a statement by the local government of the state, a curfew will be effective from 06.00 p.m. local time (1600GMT) to 06.00 a.m. local time (0400GMT) until further order.</p> <p>The total number of the Sudanese states where state of emergency has been declared reached four.</p> <p>The protestors Friday set fire to the building of the ruling National Congress Party in Rabaq city of White Nile state.</p> <p>For the last two days, violent demonstrations have rocked different parts of the country, with protesters decrying soaring inflation and acute bread shortages.</p> <p>The death toll from the ongoing protests mounted to eight, with six people killed in the eastern Gadarif State and two in the northern White Nile State.</p> <p>Previously, the state of emergency was declared in Gadarif, Dangola and Atbara states.</p> <p> <p>* Ali Murat Alhas contributed to this story from Ankara
