Senegalese midfielder undergoes tests for Turkish club

ANKARA (AA) – Turkish football giant Galatasaray announced Monday that Stoke City's midfielder Badou Ndiaye underwent medical tests for his new club.

Galatasaray said on Twitter Ndiaye had his medical check up done at the Medical Park Bahcelievler Hospital, which is one of the club's sponsors.

On Aug. 25, Galatasaray started talks for the temporary transfer of Ndiaye.

“Official negotiations have started with Stoke City for the temporary transfer of professional footballer Papa Alioune Ndiaye, ” the Istanbul-based club said in a statement.

In August 2017, Galatasaray purchased 27-year-old Senegalese midfielder from the Turkish football team Osmanlispor for €7.5 million ($8.76M).

In January 2018, during the mid-season transfer window, Galatasaray sold Ndiaye to English club Stoke City for €16 million ($18.69M) transfer fee.

Last season, Ndiaye had scored two goals for Stoke City in 13 Premier League appearances.
