ANKARA (AA) – Schalke 04 midfielder Suat Serdar, a German player of Turkish descent, is joining Hertha Berlin ahead of the Bundesliga's 2021/22 season, it was announced on Friday.
"Our first signing of the summer! Welcome to Berlin, Suat!," Hertha Berlin said on Twitter.
The German national midfielder has produced 11 goals and 6 assists in 83 games for Schalke.
After finishing last in the league's 2020/21 season, the team based in North Rhine-Westphalia was relegated to 2. Bundesliga, the second division of professional football in Germany.
