ANKARA (AA) – Lazio hired Italian manager Maurizio Sarri on Wednesday.
The Italian Serie A club said in a statement that Sarri, 62, became the new manager of Lazio's first team.
This position was vacant when Simone Inzaghi left Lazio to join Inter Milan on June 3.
Sarri previously managed Napoli, Chelsea, and Juventus.
He led England's Chelsea to win the 2019 UEFA Europa League trophy.
In 2020, Sarri won the Italian league title with Juventus.
He left Juventus in summer 2020 to be a free agent.
