TEKIRDAG, Turkey (AA) – Twenty-seven undocumented migrants are being held early Wednesday in a northwestern province of Turkey, said security officials.

The Provincial Gendarmerie Command received a report of a large group of people trying to illegally cross the border in Suleymanpasa district's Yukari Kilicli neighborhood in Tekirdag province, a source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.

The undocumented migrants were identified as Pakistani nationals.

All of the migrants were sent to the province's migration department.
