Formula 1 fever to continue in Brazil over weekend

ISTANBUL (AA) – The 20th race of the Grand Prix in 2018 Formula 1 World Championship will take place in Brazil over the weekend.

The qualifying round will be held in Sao Paulo on Saturday, and the race will start on Sunday at 1610GMT.

The race will be held at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, a motor racing track of 4,309 kilometers (2,677 miles) in length, comprising 71 laps.

The champion of the season, Mercedes' British driver Lewis Hamilton won 10 races, while Ferrari's German driver Sebastian Vettel was victorious in five races.

Hamilton became champion in the Mexico race on Oct. 28 with 358 points followed by Vettel with 294 points.

Hamilton become the champion for the fifth time after Juan Manuel Fangio and Michael Schumacher.

Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull-TAG Heuer team beat his opponents in two races and Dutch Max Verstappen and Kimi Raikkonen ranked first in one race.
