ANKARA (AA) – A major fire has broken out in France's famous medieval cathedral Notre-Dame on Monday, officials said.
“A terrible fire has broke out at Notre-Dame de Paris. Fire fighters are trying to control the flames, ” Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said on Twitter.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
One of the most important touristic spots of Paris, Notre-Dame — which means 'Our Lady' — dates back to 1345.
