Verstappen wins Formula 1 Styrian Grand Prix

ISTANBUL (AA) – Red Bull's Dutch driver Max Verstappen won the eighth Grand Prix of the 2021 season in Formula 1 held in Austria on Sunday.

The 71-lap Styrian Grand Prix was held at the Red Bull Ring on a track 4.3 kilometers (2.6 miles) long.

Verstappen clinched his 14th career victory to complete the race at 1.22.18, while British driver Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes came second –35.7 seconds behind — and his team Valtteri Bottas from Finland finished third at 46.9 seconds behind Verstappen.

This year's 9th race will be held at the same circuit, on July 3-4.
