ANKARA (AA) – Defending winner Michael van Gerwen will face Peter Wright in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Darts Championship final on New Year's Day in London.
Seeking his fourth title, Dutch national van Gerwen beat England's Nathan Aspinall 6-3 in Monday's semifinal to reach the final phase of the tournament.
Earlier Monday, Scottish player Wright eliminated his Welsh opponent Gerwyn Price 6-3 to make the 2020 final.
The dart's world cup final between van Gerwen and Wright will be held in London's Alexandra Palace on Wednesday starting at 1900GMT.
The 2020 champion will have win Sid Waddell Trophy and £500,000 (the $657,500) in prize money.
