ANKARA (AA) – The US' goods and services trade deficit narrowed to $68.9 billion in April, according to figures released Tuesday by the Commerce Department.

It represents a decline of $6.1 billion from the record $75 billion in March, which was revised from $74.4 billion, the agency’s Bureau of Economic Analysis said in a statement.

While US' exports in April were $205 billion, $2.3 billion more than March, imports were $273.9 billion — $3.8 billion less than March imports, it said.

"The April decrease in the goods and services deficit reflected a decrease in the goods deficit of $6.2 billion to $86.7 billion and a decrease in the services surplus of $0.1 billion to $17.8 billion," the statement said.

The US' trade deficit with China decreased $7.1 billion to $32.4 billion in April. While exports to China increased $1 billion to $13.1 billion, its imports from China decreased $6 billion to $45.5 billion.
