BEIRUT (AA) – The U.S. delivered four Super Tucano light attack aircraft to Lebanon's military on Tuesday as part of a grant to the latter.

According to a Lebanese army statement, the four planes were delivered to the Hamat airbase north of capital Beirut.

Late last year, Lebanon received a first batch of two Super Tucano aircraft from the U.S.

Produced by Brazilian aerospace conglomerate Embraer S.A., the Super Tucano is used mainly for counterinsurgency operations and pilot training.
