UPDATE – Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 7 gets underway

ISTANBUL (AA) – The seventh round of the 2018-2019 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season began on Thursday.

The last EuroLeague finalist Turkey's Fenerbahce beat Olympiakos 73-72 in an away match in Athens.

In the first match, Turkey's Darussafaka Tekfen was defeated by Italy's AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan 92-98 at home in Istanbul.

Fenerbahce will also play against Olympiakos in an away match tonight in Athens.

On Friday, Turkey's Anadolu Efes will face Greece's Panathinaikos at home in Istanbul.

EuroLeague competitions bring Europe's top basketball clubs together.

Sixteen teams are competing this season — four Spanish, three Turkish, two Russian, two Greek and one team each from Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania and Montenegro.

Turkey is in the tournament with Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce and Darussafaka.
