NEW DECK; UPDATED WITH PHONE TALK WITH PAKISTANI FOREIGN MINISTER; CHANGES THROUGHOUT

ANKARA (AA) – In a Tuesday phone call, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov discussed the situation in Syria, Libya, and the conflict in Upper Karabakh, according to diplomatic sources.
The phone call came amid continued attacks by the Armenian military despite a cease-fire brokered by the US on Sunday.
Since recent clashes erupted on Sept. 27, Armenia has repeatedly targeted Azerbaijani civilians and forces, even violating two humanitarian cease-fires reached earlier this month.
Relations between the two former Soviet republics have been tense since 1991, when Armenia occupied Upper Karabakh, or Nagorno-Karabakh, an internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan, and seven adjacent regions.
In a separate phone call, Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu and his Pakistan counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi discussed bilateral and regional issues along with rising Islamophobia in Europe.
