UPDATES SHOT TO KILLED, BUILDING SWEEP
WASHINGTON (AA) – Two people have been shot dead on the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) campus, the school confirmed Wednesday.
The victims’ identities are currently unknown.
Police are investigating while the sprawling campus remains on lockdown.
The school warned students to stay away from the Engineering IV building where the shootings took place and said police are sweeping the building in search for the shooter.
The Daily Bruin, UCLA’s student-run newspaper, reported that the “shooter is wearing a black jacket and black pants,” citing police.
UCLA is home to nearly 30,000 undergraduate students.
