By Muhammed Ali Gurtas</p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index went up 0.03 percent or 35.17 points to open at 105,117.48 points on Wednesday.</p> <p>On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed the day up 0.72 percent at 105,082.31 points with a daily trading volume of 7.3 billion Turkish liras ($1.4 billion).</p> <p>The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.3000 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Wednesday, compared to 5.3010 at the last close.</p> <p>The euro/Turkish lira rate was 6.0330, versus 6.0260 at Tuesday's close, and one British pound was exchanged for 7.0340 Turkish liras, up from 6.9940.</p> <p>One barrel of Brent oil was sold for $65.70 as of 10.15 a.m. local time (0715GMT) Wednesday.
