<p>By Tuba Sahin</p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – Chicken meat output in Turkey slipped 2.1 percent year-on-year in October, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reported on Thursday.</p> <p>According to TurkStat, in contrast the country's chicken egg production rose 2.1 percent on a yearly basis in October.</p> <p>On a monthly basis, chicken meat and hen egg production climbed 9.6 percent and 4.6 percent, respectively.</p> <p>TurkStat added that turkey meat production rose 14.6 percent year-on-year, but slipped 3.8 percent on a monthly basis.</p> <p>"The number of chickens slaughtered increased by 6.6 percent in October compared with the previous month, and decreased by 5 percent compared with the same month of the previous year," TurkStat added. </p>
