Turkish-made ceramic offers radiation-free environment

By Musab Turan</p> <p>ISTANBUL (AA) – An innovative ceramic product produced by an Istanbul-based company offers a radiation-free environment to consumers, a co-founder of the company said on Wednesday.</p> <p>&quot;Quantum — this new product that we as Decovita have released on the market — absorbs electromagnetic waves in an environment and repels bacteria [from its surface],&quot; Selman Ozturk, who is a founding partner of Decovita Seramik, told Anadolu Agency.</p> <p>Underlining that Quantum is the first in the world of its kind, Ozturk noted that it was made of nine rare-earth elements that emit beneficial rays to the environment.</p> <p>“Decovita Quantum radiates far infrared rays. These rays revive and refresh the [human] body and increase its wellbeing,” he said, adding that they were also used in the treatment of some illnesses.</p> <p>According to Decovita’s website, laboratory tests have confirmed that Quantum &quot;offers 99.72 percent antibacterial protection.&quot;</p> <p>The product also protects against 90 percent of the harmful effects of radiation, the website says.
