ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish Cargo, a subsidiary company of Turkey's flag carrier Turkish Airlines, transported more freight in the first two months of 2019 from a year earlier, the company said Tuesday.

The company posted an increase of 9.6% in the amount of cargo despite a shrinking global market.

Turkish Cargo said it moved up to the 7th place on the list of World Air Cargo Data for January and February.

“Turkish Cargo will be one of the companies among the world's top 5 air cargo brands thanks to our strategy, ” said Ilker Ayci, the chairman of Turkish Airlines.
