Turkish ambassadors to meet in Ankara, Konya

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey will hold its 10th Annual Ambassadors’ Conference between Aug. 12-17 in both the capital Ankara and in the central Konya province.

According to a Friday's statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the conference's theme is “Entrepreneurial and Humanitarian Foreign Policy in Presidential System of Government “.

It added the ambassadors will be received by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Parliament Speaker Binali Yildirim.

“Within the framework of the conference, our ambassadors will also be informed about the functioning and working methods of the presidential system, and the change in the structure of the state, ” the statement read.

The conference will also review developments relevant to Turkey's foreign policy, discuss current challenges and opportunities, and evaluate the country's priorities.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Slovakian Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak and Sudanese Foreign Minister Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed will attend the conference.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and the ambassadors will pay a one-day visit to Konya on the last day of conference.
