Turkey’s Can nominated for Euro athlete of month

By Fatih Erel</p> <p>ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish athlete Yasemin Can has been nominated for the European Women Athlete of the Month for December by the European Athletics Association.</p> <p>Apart from Turkish athlete, Russia's Mariya Lasitskene, Portugal's Ana Dulce Felix, Denmark's Anna Moller and Italian Nadia Battocletti are were among the candidates. </p> <p>In December, Can won her third successive senior women's gold at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg. </p> <p>She is the first woman to win the title on three occasions.
