ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,388.20 points on Monday, falling 0.21% or 2.86 points from the previous close.
At Friday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.50% at 1,422.06 points, with a daily trading volume of 15.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.8 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 8.7400 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, unchanged from the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood unchanged at 10.3800, while one British pound traded for 12.0700 Turkish liras, down from 12.1000 at the last week's close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $73.56 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
