By Ali Mukarrem Garip </p> <p><br></p> <p>KIRKUK, Iraq (AA) – Preparations to open a Turkish visa application office in Kirkuk, a predominantly Turkmen city in northern Iraq, have been finalized, an official said Wednesday.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Peyami Yilmaz, who has been tasked with running the office, told Anadolu Agency that the office would soon be opened in a formal inauguration ceremony.</p> <p><br></p> <p>The ceremony, he added, would likely be attended by Fatih Yilmaz, Turkey’s ambassador to Iraq, and local officials from Kirkuk.</p> <p><br></p> <p>“We expect to process between 200 and 400 visa applications per day,” Yilmaz said, going on to assert that the application process would only take “a couple of minutes”.
