Turkey trains Balkan media professionals

By Jeyhun Aliyev</p> <p> </p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s state-run aid agency and official broadcaster began training news professionals from Balkan countries on Tuesday in camera operation in the country’s capital Ankara, a statement released by the aid agency said.</p> <p> </p> <p>Organized by the Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA) and broadcaster TRT within the scope of the &quot;Media Techniques Training Program&quot;, the program will continue until the end of March, according to a statement released on Tuesday.</p> <p> </p> <p>&quot;Turkey will impart its media experience to a total of 95 media professionals participating in the program from nearly every region of the former Yugoslavia,&quot; it said.</p> <p> </p> <p>Participants will be trained in the theory and practice of camera operation, light directing, sound editing and visual media informatics technology at the TRT headquarters.</p> <p> </p> <p>The first group of 25 people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia already completed their training and received certificates, TIKA said.</p> <p> </p> <p>Thanks to such training projects, professionals from different countries are expected to also exchange their own experiences with one another.</p> <p> </p> <p>Established in 1992, Turkey's government-run aid agency is responsible for implementing the country's developmental cooperation policies overseas.
