Turkey: Suspect remanded for insulting Islam

ISTANBUL (AA) – A Turkish court remanded into custody early Thursday a suspect for insulting Islam and Prophet Muhammad.

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation regarding a cartoon that was shared on Twitter by the suspect who was identified by the initials M.C.S.

The suspect is accused of “inciting hatred and hostility or insulting.”
