Turkey opens vocational training center in Burkina Faso

By Muhammet Ikbal Arslan</p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's state-run aid agency on Wednesday brought a vocational training center into service for women in Burkina Faso, a West African country.</p> <p>Kamil Kolabas, an advisor to the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), said the project will contribute to women’s participation in the labor force.</p> <p>The center will provide vocational courses for women on tailoring, weaving, fabric dyeing, soap-making and hairdressing.</p> <p>An opening ceremony for the training center of Game Koamba Women Association saw the attendance of high-ranking officials from Burkina Faso.

The training center aims to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and participation of women in production.
