Turkey off Romania's 'risky countries' COVID-19 list

BUCHAREST, Romania (AA) – Updating its list of risky countries amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Romania on Monday took Turkey off the list.

Turkey was added to the list a month ago when the number of COVID-19 cases in the country was rising. Now, with the number of cases in Turkey falling, Bucharest removed it, reflecting the improved situation.

Romania’s National Committee for Emergency Situations also decided that people who got two COVID-19 vaccination doses at least 10 days prior will not be subject to quarantine even if they come from countries seen as risky.

Upon arrival in Romania, those people will be asked to show a document – taken from the health institution which administered the shots – proving the two COVID-19 jabs.
