Turkey: Karagoz to lead state-run English, Arabic TV

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's state-run broadcaster TRT on Monday named Serdar Karagoz as the new editor-in-chief of the International News Channels.

Karagoz will be in charge of TRT World and TRT Arabic.

Karagoz graduated from the Department of Political Science at Istanbul’s Bilgi University. He received his master's degree in Human Rights Law at the same university.

He also completed Media Studies at The New School University in the United States and worked at The New York Times Syndicate.

In 2014, he founded “Daily Sabah “, the English-language counterpart of the Turkish newspaper Sabah.
