By Ecenur Colak</p> <p><br></p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – Turkey Tuesday strongly condemned the deadly terror attack targeting Libya’s Foreign Ministry in capital Tripoli.</p> <p><br></p> <p>In a statement, Turkish Foreign Ministry said: “We strongly condemn today’s terrorist attack against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord in Libya’s capital Tripoli.”</p> <p><br></p> <p>On Tuesday, at least three people were killed and nine others injured in the militant attack on the headquarters of Libya’s Foreign Ministry. </p> <p><br></p> <p>Turkey wished speedy recovery to the wounded and conveyed its condolences to the relatives of the deceased, the statement said.</p> <p><br></p> <p>“Turkey will maintain its solidarity with the people and the Government of Libya in the fight against terrorism,” it added.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Gunmen, believed to be a Daesh terrorist group, opened fire on the building before blowing up their explosive vests.</p> <p><br></p> <p>No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, though.
Libya has remained dogged by turmoil since 2011, when a bloody NATO-backed uprising led to the ouster and death of long-serving President Muammar Gaddafi after more than four decades in power.
