Turk Eximbank-financed Dakar Arena opens

ANKARA (AA) – Dakar Arena, financed by Turk Eximbank, was inaugurated on Wednesday.

Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu and the bank's General Manager Adnan Yildirim attended the ceremony.

The arena was built by Turkish contractor company Summa within the scope of Cicad Business Hotel, Cicad Exhibition Center and Diamniadio Sports Arena establishment project, according to a statement from the bank.

Yildirim said that Dakar Arena was an impressive model project not only for Senegal but also for all Africa.

"The arena will contribute to the development of the country's and region's cultural and sports activities," he said.

Since Turk Eximbank was founded in 1987, it has been conducting international credit, guarantee, and credit insurance programs aimed at developing economic and political relations between Turkey and other countries.
