Terror attack martyrs Turkish soldier in northern Syria

By Merve Yildizalp</p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – A Turkish soldier was martyred and one other injured in a terrorist attack in northern Syria, Turkey’s National Defense Ministry said on Sunday. </p> <p>Turkish soldier was martyred in a mortar attack by the terrorists in the area where Turkey has conducted Operation Olive Branch to liberate Afrin, northwestern Syria,from YPG/PKK and Daesh terrorists, a statement by the ministry read.</p> <p>Under the right of self-defense, Turkish security forces retaliated the terrorist attack with shelling, the statement noted.</p> <p>&quot;We offer our condolences to martyr’s family, Turkish Armed Forces, and our nation,” the statement said. </p> <p>The statement also wished speedy recovery for the injured soldier.
