Spain’s ambassador to Turkey visits Anadolu Agency

By Zuhal Demirci</p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – Spain's ambassador to Turkey on Thursday paid a visit to the Anadolu Agency headquarters, Turkey’s premier news agency, in the capital Ankara.</p> <p>Juan Gonzalez-Barba was received by Senol Kazanci, the agency’s director-general.</p> <p>Kazanci and Gonzalez-Barba discussed the steps to be taken to improve bilateral relations via the news agencies of Turkey and Spain.</p> <p>Gonzalez-Barba emphasized that Anadolu Agency is the only Turkish media institution which has a correspondent in Spain, adding that the reporter has been serving for a long time.</p> <p>He also stressed that it is important to have a cooperation agreement between Anadolu Agency and EFE, Spain's official news agency.</p> <p>The EFE has two correspondents in Ankara and Istanbul, the Spanish ambassador added.</p> <p>Gonzalez-Barba also expressed his gratitude and thanked Anadolu Agency for the cooperation with EFE’s correspondents.</p> <p>The ambassador said he is willing to get information about the agency’s current and future works.</p> <p>Kazanci also congratulated Gonzalez-Barba for his new duty in Ankara.</p> <p>* Writing by Beyza Binnur Donmez
