Somalia: Turkish hospital's expansion project launched

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AA) – Somalia's prime minister Tuesday laid the foundation stone for expanding a Turkish hospital in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Yardemeli Hospital is a maternal and child healthcare hospital located in Mogadishu's Hamar Jajab neighborhood.

Senior officials, including the education minister, lawmakers, and Turkish Ambassador to Somalia Mehmet Yilmaz, attended the stone-laying ceremony.

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble appreciated the Turkish government and people for their enduring support in a tweet.

The hospital is characterized as one of the modern and well-equipped facilities in the horn of African country.
