Serbian president: Turkey is true friend of Serbia

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) – The Serbian president said Thursday that Turkey is a true friend.

Speaking after a meeting with a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Aleksandar Vucic said: “Relations between the two countries are at excellent level in all fields. ”

In a statement, Vucic said Turkish investments provide employment opportunities to citizens and improve living standards.

He added that Turkey is an important partner in maintaining the region's peace and stability.

Volkan Bozkir, who led the Turkish delegation, said the two countries should increase cooperation in the field of tourism.

The delegation met with the Turkey-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Serbian Assembly.

The delegation also visited Turkey's Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) offices as part of the three-day working visit.
