Saudi Arabia reports over 490 new virus cases

ISTANBUL (AA) – Saudi Arabia on Monday reported more than 490 new coronavirus cases, according to the Health Ministry.

Some 492 people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the overall count to 330,246.

At least 27 more fatalities moved the death toll up to 4,512, while the number of recoveries stands at 311,499.

The pandemic has claimed over 961,600 lives in 188 countries and regions since last December.

Over 31.12 million cases have been reported globally, with recoveries exceeding 21.28 million, according to figures compiled by the US’ Johns Hopkins University.
