ANKARA (AA) – Russia saw a highest single-day spike of 16,319 coronavirus cases on Tuesday, health authorities said, bringing the tally to 1.43 million.
The death toll in the country rose to 24,635, with 269 new fatalities.
As many as 9,701 more virus patients recovered over the past 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 1.08 million.
The capital Moscow saw 4,999 new cases over the past day, with a cumulative toll of 372,628.
The total number of active coronavirus cases in the country reached 321,392.
