ANKARA (AA) – Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho will be out for approximately three months due to a knee injury.
The 28-year-old player underwent successful surgery on his meniscus of the left knee, Barcelona announced on Saturday.
“You'll come back even stronger,” the La Liga side said on Twitter.
The Brazilian was injured in his club's league clash on Dec. 29 when Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw against Eibar at home.
He scored three goals and made two assists in 14 appearances for Barcelona this season.
