Palestinian killed after alleged W. Bank attack: Army

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – A Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli forces on Tuesday following an alleged knife attack in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli army said in a statement. <br> </p> <p>According to the army, the suspect was injured after allegedly trying to stab an Israeli soldier near the Jewish-only Kiryat Arba settlement in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron (Al-Khalil). </p> <p>“No injuries were reported among soldiers,” the army statement asserted. <br> </p> <p>In a subsequent statement, the army identified the slain Palestinian as Yasser Fawzi Shawki from Al-Khalil.</p> <p>Witnesses, meanwhile, have reported that soldiers pulled the suspect into a nearby building immediately after the incident.
