RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Palestinian Health Ministry on Tuesday recorded four deaths and 516 new cases from the coronavirus pandemic.
Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila said the new tally brings the total figure to 56,467 confirmed cases, including 459 deaths and 49,332 recoveries.
Tuesday's tally was recorded in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, excluding East Jerusalem.
Since originating in China last December, the pandemic has claimed over 1.08 million lives in 189 countries and regions.
More than 37.8 million cases have been reported worldwide, while nearly 26.3 million patients have recovered so far, according to figures compiled by the US' Johns Hopkins University.
