Over 215 kg of marijuana seized in eastern Turkey

DIYARBAKIR/VAN, Turkey (AA) – Security forces on Tuesday held anti-drug operations in eastern Turkey, confiscating more than 215 kilograms (473.9 pounds) of marijuana.
Provincial anti-drug operation teams searched a car in Diyarbakir province and seized 165 kg (363.76 lbs) of marijuana.
Separately, the provincial directorate of narcotics in Van province searched a parked car. A sniffer dog helped seize 50 kg (110.23 lbs) of marijuana.
Two suspects were remanded over drug trafficking.
