By Elena Teslova</p> <p>MOSCOW (AA) – New Russian-Turkish agreements on Idlib, Syria do not suggest a military operation in the war-ravished country, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.</p> <p>"These are steps aimed at clearing Idlib from terrorist groups that now control a significant part of this territory," Peskov told reporters.</p> <p>Asked if it meant a military operation, Peskov said, "No, it does not."</p> <p>His comment came after a trilateral presidential-level summit in Sochi, Russia. Iran, Russia and Turkey are trying to find a solution to the Syrian conflict.</p> <p>Following a meeting last September between Turkish President Racep Tayyib Erdogan and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, the two sides agreed to set up a demilitarized zone in Idlib, Syria.</p> <p>Under the deal, opposition groups in Idlib are to remain in areas where they are already present, while Russia and Turkey conduct patrols to prevent renewed fighting.
