By Mehmet Nuri Ucar</p> <p>MOGADISHU (AA) – A motion signed by 92 lawmakers in Somalia has been submitted to parliament to impeach the country’s president.</p> <p>Abdurrezzak Muallim, a member of parliament, told Anadolu Agency: "92 members of parliament submitted a motion to the Somali Parliament Speaker Mohamed Mursal Sheikh requesting an impeachment of President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed."</p> <p>The lawmakers accused the president of over-intervention in the management of the federal regions, denial of powers to local authorities, abuse of power and signing secret agreements with other countries.</p> <p>According to the country’s constitution, 92 lawmakers had to sign a motion for it to be submitted to the speaker.</p> <p>A successful impeachment requires a vote of the two-thirds of the 275-member parliament.
