MOSCOW (AA) – Moscow will host the Turkish Festival from August 10 to 12, Turkish Ambassador to Russia Huseyin Dirioz said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a news conference, Dirioz said the Russian capital will host the three-day event for the third time.

“The event will take place in one of the most prestigious parks of Moscow — Krasnaya Presnya Park. The festival will promote Turkey's historical, cultural and touristic richness, ” the envoy said.

Both Russian and Turkish performers will take part in the festival, Dirioz added.

“As it is known that previous festivals hosted more than 150,000 people. This year we expect even more visitors “, he said.

The Turkish Festival is a first event ahead of the upcoming 2019 cross-year of culture and tourism of Turkey and Russia.
